Baby Bear is the cub of Mama Bear and Papa Bear. He was banished to Shrek's swamp with his father.

Shrek[]
Baby Bear, along with his parents, is captured as a result of Lord Farquaad's banishment of all fairytale creatures in Duloc. He is seen in a small cage, crying that his cage is "too small" to his parents, who are both in a larger cage. Later in the swamp, he is once again crying, this time being comforted by Papa Bear near a campfire. Mama Bear is not present, as she was presumably killed by Lord Farquaad offscreen. Both Baby, alongside his dad, is seen attending Shrek and Fiona's wedding.

Baby Bear as well as both his parents, dances with the cast of Shrek during the "Dance to the Music" sequence.

Papa Bear and Baby Bear show up at the end of Shrek and Fiona's honeymoon alongside their other fairytale friends.

After a decade of absence, Baby Bear returns in Issue #3 in the Shrek comics by Joe Books. He is one of the many friends who try to help renovate Shrek's home for his family. While both of his parents are arguing about what size the house extension should be, Baby Bear is trying to talk about his house. His is designed to be a modular home, which can be expanded upon at any given time to guarantee both large and minimal space. He claims his idea is "just right."
