Bob is a character from the short-lived "Shrek Live!" at Universal Studios Hollywood. He is from Duloc and a part of the performance with Nimble and Quick.
Role in the Show[]
Bob is the one who held the cue cards to help engage the audience. Apparently, people either love him or hate him, as he gets both cheers and boos when introduced. Throughout the show, he would hold cards telling the audience how to react during specific moments. For instance, half of the audience would say "Whee Whee Whee" when the Three Little Pigs were mentioned during the Story of Shrek performance. Another half would say "Fee Fi Fo Fum" when the Giant was mentioned. As the show proceeds, Bob would hold either the "Applause" or "Boooo!!" cards for specific statements or events.
When Shrek barges in during the conclusion of the "officially licensed" retelling of his story, Bob almost runs away with Nimble and Quick. However, they are stopped by the ogre, who promises to finish their show as long as they tell the "real story." During the reworked performance, Bob used the cue cards once more before being escorted by Quick as Lord Farquaad after using the "Boooo!!" card on her more than once. He would switch his role to perform the puppet of Dragon during the last parts of the show. He later used the Dragon puppet to drag Quick off-stage to recreate Farquaad's demise at the end of the original film. The play officially concludes, and the actors take a bow.
