Castle Duloc, sometimes simply referred to as the Duloc Castle, is the official residence of the Nobility of Duloc and a towering structure located in the city's center. The castle is inspired by the rectangular keep of the French castle, Château de Loches.
Exterior[]

The castle is disproportionately giant compared to everything else in the city of Duloc. It is a rectangular shaped building with four smaller towers on top of each corner, and it has a few windows. There is also a court yard where the tournament for the chance to rescue Fiona was held.
Interior[]
There are many rooms inside the castle. Rooms seem to have white colored walls and floors with blue colored curtains and banners. Known Rooms include,
- Bed chamber of Lord Farquaad.
- Dungeon, where the interrogation of Gingy was held.
- Dining hall
- Fiona's chambers, where she was getting ready for her wedding.
- Great Hall, where Shrek and the gang told scary stories in Scared Shrekless.
- Billiard Room, only seen in concept art.
- Armory, only seen in concept art

Trivia[]
- This location is glimpsed in one of the levels in the Shrek Special Pack DLC for the video game PowerWash Simulator.
- When Shrek first laid eyes on the castle, he jokingly asks Donkey "Do you think maybe [Lord Farquaad] is compensating for something?" This is a subtle adult joke that entailed Shrek implying that Farquaad deliberately made his castle extremely large to compensate for his having small genitals. This is backed up by Donkey reporting to Fiona when about to arrive back at Duloc Shrek's comment. He nearly tells her that Shrek was referring to his genital size before being silenced mid-sentence by Shrek stomping on his hoof. However, it also has a double-meaning in reference to Farquaad's overall size, which kids would assume.
