Conrad Vernon is an American voice actor, storyboard artist and director that performed the voices of multiple characters in the Shrek series. Most notably, he voices the Gingerbread Man in all of the movies and specials.
Not initially cast as Gingy, he pitched the torture scene in Shrek to the directors and producers, in which they were incredibly pleased. This would ultimately get him cast as the character, and would quickly become a staple character of the franchise. He would quickly become one of the co-directors of Shrek 2 alongside Andrew Adamson and Kelly Asbury. His career as a voice actor would also be solidified, earning him several voice roles in many DreamWorks films. However, he wouldn't return in a major position in the Shrek franchise beyond his role as Gingy.
He has since directed the DreamWorks films Monsters vs. Aliens and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, and Nitrogen Studios' Sausage Party and the animated Addams Family duology. Two films he was attached to direct but never came to fruition were an animated adaptation of the TV series Lidsville, and a remake of the cult splatter classic The Toxic Avenger.
