Dean Edwards (born July 30, 1970) performed the voice of Donkey in Scared Shrekless and Thriller Night, filling in for Eddie Murphy. However, in Donkey's Christmas Shrektacular, Edwards got replaced himself when Murphy came back to voice Donkey. He would eventually reprise his role as Donkey for the 2023 video game, DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing and voice him in DreamWorks Imagination Celebration.
