Doc is one of the Seven Dwarfs. While being a part of the crew in the films, his identity wasn't revealed until the Shrek comics were released.
Role in the comics[]
When Shrek and Donkey get sick from eating "Fairy Berries", he diagnoses them with "Fairy Berry Fever". He proceeds to give them an antidote that will cure them in 24 hours. However, they'll have to stay in a castle for the day so others don't get infected.
Doc returns after the 24 hours to tell them they have been cured.
