Doug Langdale is a television writer and creator. He is best known for creating The Weekenders for Disney, and writing El Tigre: The Adventures of Many Rivera for Nickelodeon.

The Adventures of Puss in Boots[]

Doug Langdale was the executive producer for The Adventures of Puss in Boots- an animated television adaptation of the Puss in Boots spin-off franchise. It is set within the Shrek universe, and features many parodical fantasy elements in addition to an exotic landscape unfamiliar to the main series. In addition to his producer role, Langdale wrote a handful of episodes, including the first two and last couple for the show's run.

Unlike the original Shrek and Puss in Boots franchises, the writing style is more akin to Langdale's previous work on projects such as Dave the Barbarian and El Tigre- establishing a wide variety of characters and elaborate world building meant to convey a crazy setting with dialogue heavy gags and banter. This is supported by several actors returning from previous projects already familiar with Langdale's creative style; including Eric Bauza who voices Puss in Boots himself.
