The Dragon is a creature that dwelled in the cave of the Fauxly Grail in the Shrek the Third deleted scene of the same name.
Role in the Scene[]
It was disturbed in a dark cave after Artie grabs the grail. Emerging from a giant hole, the dragon charges at Artie, and quickly headbutts Shrek. Afterwards, it breathes fire and Artie, destroying his makeshift shield. Before the dragon can perform more attacks, Shrek latches onto its head, yanking on the horns. Suddenly, Donkey and Puss in Boots enter in their silly monster outfit, confusing the dragon. This only proves to be a temporary setback, as the dragon prepares to engulf Artie in flames. Just then, Shrek pulls back the dragon's head with its horns, causing the fire to avoid Artie and shoot onto the top of the cave. Shrek then falls off the dragon and hits the wall, knocking himself out. Artie soon runs beneath the dragon, and climbs its tail, with the dragon struggling to properly attack with its neck turned. This causes the dragon to move in circles, trying to catch Artie but constantly failing. After a rumble in the cave due to the dragon's tail hitting a column, Artie flies off. Clinging onto another column with his pitchfork, the dragon tries to attack with its tail, only to cause another rumble. Now trying to bite him, Artie is able to barely dodge by jumping off the column with his pitchfork. The dragon is then buried by the collapsing column and various rocks. Artie then claims the grail, and walks away.
Trivia[]
