The Duloc Tournament is an event that took place in the Duloc Stadium in city of Duloc to see which of the Duloc Knights will be able to go through with the Rescue of Princess Fiona.
Backstory[]
Lord Farquaad wanted a perfect kingdom, so he evicted all fairytale creatures from Duloc to live in Shrek's swamp. Later, the Magic Mirror said the only way to become a king is to marry a princess. The mirror then gives Farquaad three choices of princesses, Cinderella, Snow White and Fiona of which Farquaad chooses Fiona. Unwilling to rescue Fiona himself, he arranges the tournament for the best and brightest men to go through.
The tournament[]
Farquaad was going through the rules of the tournament, when an ogre named Shrek burst in, which makes Farquaad change the rules to whoever kills Shrek will be named champion. Shrek, however, beats the knights, earning the title of champion. Farquaad then tasks Shrek with the Rescue of Princess Fiona.
