WikiShrek

Fifi was a minor character in Shrek Forever After. She was Rumpelstiltskin's pet goose, and a hostile creature.

Shrek Forever After[]

Fifi was a giant pet goose owned by Rumpelstiltskin. She's used to pull his carriage, and Rumpel also uses her plucked feathers to sign his magic contracts. In the alternative globe, she's pampered by Rumpelstiltskin, being treated as a noble. The Three Little Pigs are forced to be her servants, washing her feathers, brushing her teeth, and feeding her. Rumpelstiltskin tries to escape on Fifi during their final battle scene, but they're stopped by Shrek. During the end credits sequence, Fiona's high-pitched singing causes her to blow up (in a callback to the bluebird from the original Shrek film).

Trivia[]

  • In concept art, Fifi was supposed to be ridden by Shrek during the final battle.
  • It isn't clear what is the tale or myth she comes from, if we keep in mind that she isn't the Great Terror or one of its daughters, or maybe some variation of the Goose who laid golden eggs, the most clear option is that she comes from the tale "The golden goose" from the Grimm brothers, the evidence for this is that maybe Fifi is what gives Rumpelstiltskin the capacity of doing the magic contracts via her feathers, feathers wich leave a magic golden tray when signing Rumpel's contracts, this maybe be a reference to the tale "The golden goose", and may be the reason why Rumpelstiltskin takes so much care of her.
