The Gatito Blade is a dagger first owned by Kitty Softpaws, before it is given to Puss in Boots. It plays a major role in Puss's final battle with Death.
After Puss loses his sword in his first confrontation with Death, he initially uses a stick given to him by Perrito. Kitty gives him her Gatito Blade when she sees he is now without a proper blade weapon.
Later, when battling Death at the Wishing Star, Puss uses the Gatito Blade to parry Death's Sickles.
Appearance and Abilities[]
The dagger is rather small, as it is meant to be held by the paw of a cat. It has a cat head pommel, and along with the grip and rain guard, is presumably painted bronze. The blade itself is rather strong, as when used violently, it can severely scratch someone and fend off other intense blades (i.e. the sickles used by Death).

When used carefully, it can also be a tool for shaving, as shown when Kitty cuts Puss' "itchy" beard.

- "Gatito" is Spanish for "Little Cat" or "Kitten", complimenting the size of the dagger.
- This dagger is still useful to fight against the evil like Peter Pan's Shadow Dagger.
- The blade appears as Kitty Softpaws' special item and token in DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing.
