Jill is a character seen in Shrek 2. She is based on the character of the same name from the nursery rhyme Jack and Jill.
Shrek 2[]
She is first seen along with her two friends one morning, greeting Shrek after he wakes up after spending the night in an abandoned barn. Jill offers him a bucket of water, and looking at his reflection in the water Shrek realizes he is human. She persistently flirts with this new handsome Shrek, offering to rub his shoulder and asking him if his name is European. Puss informs Shrek that he needs to kiss his true love by midnight to keep himself human. Jill and her friends volunteer to be his true love, but Shrek disappoints them by saying he already has a true love. Jill and her friends are last seen gasping in excitement when Donkey suggests that Shrek needs to get out of his clothes.
Trivia[]
- Jack and Jill are referenced in the Shrek 2 video game as owners of a farm. However, they are not present as they are on a business trip.
- Despite Jill being based on the titular character from the Jack and Jill nursery rhyme, another version of Jill appears in Puss in Boots.
