Magic Mirrors are mirrors that are magical. They often have a living face trapped behind the glass.
Appearances[]
Magic Mirror is the only known of these objects. Although in the queue for Shrek 4-D, an ad for Foe's: The Villains' Tavern implies that there may be other magic mirrors.
In Thriller Night, a movie theater called "The Mirror" is shown. However it is unknown if it houses a living face or has the same properties as Magic Mirror.
Abilities[]
A magic mirror can display entertainment visuals similar to a TV screen. Prominent examples include the dating game seen in Shrek, and the programming as seen in Shrek 2. Sometimes it can be used to display portraits of other characters, including Princess Fiona.
It can also be used to play video games, although this was only seen in spin-off material. In Shrek Super Slam, a magic mirror is a destructible object and displays the classic Activision/Atari game, Pitfall. A similar visual gag appears in Shrek the Musical, this time with Lord Farquaad using Magic Mirror to play a clone of the classic game Space Invaders.
