Medusa is a character who briefly appeared in the "Shrek: Totally Tangled Tales" DVD game. She originates from Greek mythology and is one of the most tragic figures in the stories.
Shrek: Totally Tangled Tales[]
Two storybook animations feature Medusa. The first is the "Myth of Perseus and Medusa," where she is walking in her lair as Perseus is preparing to attack. She looks at a nearby rat, which causes it to turn into stone. The second is the "Myth of Pegasus," where she looks around before her neck suddenly snaps. Emerging from her neck is none other than Pegasus, flying away to begin his adventure.
Various questions reference her involvement in the myths relating to her beheading and legacy. She had successfully been slayed by Perseus thanks to a shield given to him by Athena, the goddess who had cursed Medusa to become a gorgon. Her head would be used as a weapon by the hero to turn various enemies into stone. After her death, the blood from her neck would give birth to Pegasus, the winged horse.
Puss in Boots: Nine Lives & Forty Thieves[]
In the original version of the sequel to Puss in Boots, Medusa, or another gorgon, was going to appear. She would've been a member of the Forty Thieves, which consisted of various anthropomorphic animals and mythological creatures.
