The Mine is a scrapped location in the original Shrek film. It is where Shrek, Fiona and Donkey get stuck in the deleted scene, "Fiona Gets Them Lost."
It is not an ordinary underground mine, as it contains steep drops and sharp turns. There is even a height requirement that prevents anyone beyond a couple feet to enter. When hopping on one of the carts, the riders will trail through the diamond mines where many dwarfs work. What follows are various theme park set pieces mocking popular Disney attractions. These include a water drop with a talking skull, a cheap animatronic snowman, and a performance stage with the Country Bears. The ride ends with a dizzying spiral until coming to an abrupt stop.
