The Molasses Sewers is a location in the Shrek X-Box game and Shrek Extra Large. It is located in the subterranean areas of Sweetsville.
Overview[]
Beneath the land of Sweetsville, a facility resides producing chocolate syrup. In the X-Box game, the evil Ice Cream Queen has turned off the valves of the pipes. That way the pressure of the molasses increases and destroys the entire system. Besides relieving the pressure of the pipes, Shrek must also defeat evil ice cream guards, rescue engineers, and defeat the Ice Cream Queen. While preforming these deeds, Shrek discovers that the Ice Cream Queen is trying to sabotage all of Sweetsville by covering it with molasses; therefore she'll have the "sweetest kingdom in all of Sweetsville". Thankfully, the ogre stands up to her vicious plans and defeats her on the spot.
In Extra Large, the sub-plot of the Ice Cream Queen was re-worked into the Wicked Ice Queen's grand scheme. Instead of simply trying to make a sweet kingdom, she is trying to create her own tyranny.

- It is perhaps the largest area in both versions of the games.
- Due to the level being expanded into one giant plot line in the GameCube version, all of Duloc Hills was retrofitted to become Sweetsville.
