Shrek outhouse

The Outhouse is an outside building that contains a toilet. Shrek has one in his swamp, and is one of the franchise's iconographies.

Appearances[]

Shrek[]

The outhouse is the first thing seen after the storybook opening. Shrek bursts out of the structure after doing his business while reading the book. It is later seen being used by the fairytale creatures. They are waiting in line to use it during their stay. The building is seen one last time during Shrek and Donkey's argument after Fiona is taken by Lord Farquaad. Shrek is furious at Donkey for supposedly stabbing him in the back, and retreats in the outhouse to sulk.

Shrek the Halls[]

The outhouse makes its first appearance in six years during the Christmas party sequence. Shrek is trying to hide from the noise by staying inside the structure. After Fiona convinces Shrek to return to the house, Pinocchio says "Oh, finally!" and enters to take a pee.

Shrek Forever After[]

Shrek is shown to use the outhouse numerous times, often being bothered by Walt the Tour Guide and the tourists. They are constantly in awe at the ogre doing his business, and even knock over the outhouse to see the action for themselves. Fiona also constantly tells Shrek to unclog the outhouse, disrupting his time in the mud bath.
