In one of the storybook animations, he is holding a judging contest to reward the golden apple of Eris to the most beautiful goddess. After wooing him with her lush eyelashes, Aphrodite hypnotizes him into giving her the apple. The other goddesses present, Hera and Athena, gossip behind their backs in envy.
While he was taken by Aphrodite's beauty, she had also made a deal with Paris. If he rewarded her the golden apple, she would bestow the most beautiful woman on earth to be his own. That was the demigod, Helen. After the judgment, Paris went forth to kidnap Helen and make her his wife. This would catapult several events that would build up to the Trojan War, which would cause further outcomes and stories to unfold leading to the defeat of many mortals, gods, and monsters. This set of circumstances caused by Paris would also forced Odysseus into a 20 year journey away from his home.
