Slug

The Slug is a minor character form the film Shrek. It is also a common source of food for Shrek himself.

During Shrek's morning routine, Shrek pushes mud out of a log to retrieve the slug.

Later, the now cooked slug is partially eaten by Shrek before he gets distracted by the Three Blind Mice making their way onto his dinner table. One of the mice mistakes the slug for a couch.

Goofs[]

During the dinner scene in Shrek, in an over-the-shoulder shot of the meal, the slug is facing towards Shrek. Later, when one of the mice is bouncing on it, it is facing away from where Shrek was sitting.

Trivia[]

In the original script, the slugs are referred to as squids. It's likely that the name wasn't changed in later revisions, as evident with the novelization mistakenly calling the slugs squids.
