The Dog is a character who briefly appeared in the "Shrek: Totally Tangled Tales" DVD game. He is from the fable, "The Dog and his Reflection."

In one of the storybook animations, the Dog is cheerfully walking across a bridge while holding a wad of meat. He catches a glimpse of his reflection in the river, thinking it is another dog with his own piece of meat. He growls at his reflection, ready to attack to obtain more food.
The Dog is meant to be a personification of the classic saying, "be content with what you have."
