"The Frog Prince" title in "Shrek: Totally Tangled Tales"
"The Frog Prince" is a German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm. The story was depicted through a storybook animation and several trivia games in the "Shrek: Totally Tangled Tales" DVD game.
Basic overview[]
Long ago, a spoiled princess has to be hospitable to a frog who got her ball back for her. Over time, the two grow a strong bond, leading to them sharing a kiss. The kiss causes the frog to turn human, and marry the princess.
Storybook Animation[]
The princess walks through the gardens of her kingdom, and puts her hands out for the frog prince. She looks at him and raises her eyebrows while the frog happily gazes at her.

- The character designs in the DVD game greatly allude to Lillian and Harold, complete with crowns.
- Eric Idle wrote and directed an adaptation of the story for Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theater in 1982. He would later voice Merlin in Shrek the Third.
