"The Judgment of Paris" is a story in Greek mythology, and one of the first stories of the Iliad. The story was depicted through a storybook animation and several trivia games in the "Shrek: Totally Tangled Tales" DVD game.

Basic overview[]

After being turned away from a wedding, the goddess of discord, Eris, creates a golden apple that was claimed by three other goddesses-- Aphrodite, Hera, and Athena. To settle the issue, the three were sent to Paris of Troy, who would give the apple to the "fairest" of the deities. Because of Aphrodite's promise to have him be wed to Helen, the most beautiful woman, Paris rewards the goddess with the apple. The two coming together would be a major turning point for the Trojan War.
