"The Myth of Apollo" is a story in Greek mythology. The story was depicted through a storybook animation and several trivia games in the "Shrek: Totally Tangled Tales" DVD game.

Basic overview[]

Infuriated by Apollo's arrogance, Eros, the god of love, impales him with an arrow that makes him fall in love with a nymph name Daphne. She is also impaled, but with an arrow that makes her detest Apollo. Wanting to escape his love, she is turned into a laurel tree, leaving the god devastated.

Storybook Animation[]

Trying to look for his love, Apollo peeks from behind a laurel-leaf tree, only to find that Daphne was the tree. He kneels down to confess his love to her even after her transformation.
