Oh, dear!

—The Green Fairy

The Three Good Fairies are a trio of fairies who were banished to Shrek's swamp.

Shrek[]

Goodfairies

Scared Shrek.

The Good Fairies are exiled along with other fairytale creatures to Shrek's swamp, after possibly being sold to Lord Farquaad by Sleeping Beauty. While taking refuge in the swamp, they are frightened by Shrek's rage and fly back to their tent. However, the three later cheer for Shrek and Donkey on their journey to Duloc while flying and waving.

At the end of the film, the Good Fairies are seen at Shrek and Fiona's wedding. The Pink Fairy uses her wand to turn the Three Blind Mice into two white horses and a carriage rider. She also turns an onion into a carriage for the newly weds to ride off to their honeymoon.

Appearance[]

They bear a striking resemblance to the Flora, Fauna and Merryweather from Disney's Sleeping Beauty. Unlike in that film however, all three look nearly identical to one another.

Trivia[]

  • The Good Fairies are built from the same models as the Seven Dwarfs.
  • The Shrek Tales book, Sleeping Ugly, identifies the Three Good Fairies as Molly, Blossom, and Wanda. They are also described as being quite short and pudgy, fitting the descriptions of their movie counterparts.
  • The Blue Fairy appears on the cover of Shrek: Fairy Tale Freakdown.
    • She also has a MacFarlane Toys figure as part of the "Fairy Tale Fugitives" set.
  • Their only appearance after the first film to date is the Motion gate dark ride, Shrek's Merry Fairytale Journey.
