The Boy hugging the Velveteen Rabbit

The Velveteen Rabbit is a character who briefly appeared in the "Shrek: Totally Tangled Tales" DVD game. He is from the eponymous children's story, "The Velveteen Rabbit."

Shrek: Totally Tangled Tales[]

In one of the storybook animations, the Velveteen Rabbit is being hugged by his loving owner. They are sitting outdoors while a fairy flies by and grants the rabbit his wish of becoming real. Suddenly, his button eyes and droopy ears transform into living tissue and hops with the other rabbits. The boy is left confused at the sight.

Various trivia questions chronicle his story, including his existential crisis in what it means to be "real." An old skin horse tells him that if he is genuinely loved by his owner, he will be real to the boy; and therefore, become a real rabbit. Despite close calls such as almost being burned along with the boy's other toys and getting torn in the wild- the rabbit is granted his desires to be a real rabbit by the Nursery Magic Fairy.
